Recently the REN XUE Africa team had a good reminder of how just a few hours in the right spot, doing simple, nourishing things, can feel like a week far away from ‘everyday life’! We’re creating one of those spaces for you, together with the Castle Rock Beach House team.
You’ll spend the day in the mindful aesthetic and spacious embrace of Castle Rock Beach House, perched close to the shoreline, overlooking False Bay. Both moving and still Qigong practices, spaced throughout the day, will nourish you from deep within. Teas and lunch from the nearby organic Rocklands Farm will delight your senses with goodness. Mahé Bodard’s talent on Hang drum will provide a magical ambience.
The focus of the day will be on restoring Qi/life force through direct experience of Nature’s gifts, most especially Yuan Qi – the primordial Qi of Nature that we can readily draw inside through Yuan Qigong methods. There’ll be time to relax in the easily accessed, yet still somewhat remote, quietness of this location.
Both experienced practitioners of Yuan Qigong and newcomers are most welcome.

Please Read Through Our Cancellation Policy
“CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
It is our intention to accommodate the reality that things can change unexpectedly. However, there are costs associated with booking a venue and catering, plus administrative costs, which put us at risk should you cancel. Our policy, therefore, attempts to be fair to all:
If you need to cancel your attendance, please do so early. Late cancellations may make it difficult for someone else to have the opportunity to attend. Cancellation fees will apply as below.
If you cancel your booking:
- 30+ days before the event, we will refund all fees paid minus an administrative charge of R100.
- Between 30 – 8 days before the event, we will refund all fees paid minus R400 per person cancellation fee.
- Less than 7 days before the event – no refund possible. The exception is for a qualified medical emergency.
Refunds will be paid within 30 days of receiving a written cancellation notice.
PLEASE NOTE THAT:
Anyone leaving the event early for anything other than a qualified medical emergency or a death in the family will not receive any refund. If you need to leave early due to such an emergency we will refund 60% of the retreat fee.
REN XUE Africa reserves the right at any time to require that a participant leave the event if their behavior is considered to be either excessively disruptive or dangerous to self or others. In this case, all event fees are non-refundable.
Cancellation by REN XUE Africa:
If REN XUE Africa is required to cancel the event due to unforeseen reasons, we will notify you as soon as possible and will refund the full event fee paid.
