Introducing Sylvie
Sylvie Jutras, a REN XUE teacher of many years and currently living in France, was validated by Yuan Tze a few years ago as having met the requirements for REN XUE’s Fourth Stage of Realisation and Wisdom.
This stage of inner cultivation involves ‘waking up from sleeping, regaining clarity, and seeing one’s ‘True Nature’ fully. The ‘True Nature’ is then liberated from its conditioned, patterned ‘persona’ and as the True Self, can fully manifest its clarity and wisdom. This transformation stage is commonly labelled ‘enlightenment’. In REN XUE this is not seen as an endpoint but the true beginning of life cultivation. Sylvie is well on this path and has much wisdom to share.
We are most fortunate to have Sylvie visit us again in South Africa in 2026.
Sylvie will lead a week long immersive Yuan Qigong retreats at Oaklands Guest Farm, Van Reenen, Free State (halfway between Johannesburg and Durban).
Both South African and international students will welcome her wonderfully direct and clear teaching style on REN XUE Yuan Qigong.

Oaklands Guest Farm

Nestled in a valley upon the picturesque escarpment of the southeastern Drakensberg.
Oaklands offers a tranquil retreat space focused on communion with friends and family, home away from home comfort, spectacular farm-to-table dining and lots of time connecting to the wonderful environment within which the farm is situated.
We’re so looking forward to sharing this space with you as we welcome Sylvie back to South Africa and gather for our 2026 retreat.
Event Details
Venue: Oaklands Guest Farm, Van Reenen, Free State
When: 2 pm Friday, 28th August – late morning, Friday, 4th September 2026.
Cost: to be finalised but expected to be R16000 (inclusive of all meals) p.person depending on your accommodation choice.
What to expect: Daily Qigong practices (Yuan Gong methods), both moving and seated, together with deep, insightful teaching and Q&A with Sylvie.
Who is this for: We welcome all (both local and international) newcomers and practicing students and teachers of REN XUE and Yuan Qigong.
